OKAY!!! So thanks to my gorgeous friend and music connoisseur, Dana Richter, I just became Frank Ocean’s MOST GI-NORMOUS FAN and I don’t even know which song I should post first for you to understand the level of passion I feel for this album! I feel the same way about EVERY SINGLE SONG. Let me just explain:
I can’t remember the last time I listened to a FULL ALBUM; full songs without deleting or skipping through songs and deleting the ones I don’t like and replayed them ALL without stopping it. Okay, I lie— the last time was Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy but BEFORE that, I can’t remember the last time I felt this good about a WHOLE album. I can listen to Kanye’s CD from beginning to end without stopping any of the songs. Anyway, I digress. NO, I WON’T DIGRESS! THIS (Frank Ocean’s Nostalgia, Ultra) is good music! I’m even going to go as far as saying I DIGGGGGGG THISSSS! 20/10 STARS. (I know. I’m ridiculous - lol!)
This CD just made love to my ears. I was attentive and listening to every beat, every note, every breath. I became a fan of Odd Future back in February because of their amazing / hilarious / energy driven Jimmy Fallon performance. Frank is one of the members of Odd Future so back to my thoughts on his album. Frickin great composition— I just….can’t. I don’t know what else to say. I’m not advertising here— but you need to listen to this song. Better yet, just get the album. Done!!!
